Celebration Of Craftsmanship

This week I have been working for My cousin, bespoke furniture maker and exhibition curator Jason Heap. We have been organising the hugely successful Celebration of craftsmanship exhibition of bespoke furniture from around the UK and other parts of the world. It's been a long week so far and we open our doors on Saturday to the public. If you like design, craftsmanship or are just pure fed up of seeing Ikea furniture wherever you go come along, you won't be disappointed.

Level Architects -Slide house.

Yokohama-based atelier level architects has completed 'house with slide', a three- storey continual circulation route that features both stairs and playground equipment. The fun layout surrounds the internal living space. which to me sounds perfect, as your always surrounded by fun!

I first stumbled upon this while procrastinating in the library, I was at that stage where you feel grey from staring endlessly at the computer screen. I initially just thought it was a photoshopped image and carried on mindlessly surfing. When I got home later and researched the image my jaw literrally dropped off in awe and amazement to find that it was real! I just think of how wonderful it is that the Natural Geographic Channel has captured the amazememt and delight of the film Up in real life.
